Best Birthday of my life

The 19th birthday of my life. I will rate this as my best so far. Thanks to my friends who made it possible!

I had to wake up 7 in the morning, get ready for college and attend 2 lectures from 8.30 to 10.30. I reached college pretty early and sat beside Bhaskar. A big mistake. I got special birthday bumps from him! 2 lecture, 2 hours and the bumps, I lost count of it!

Then it was at the Back market. A birthday cake with my nick written on it. Just below that, code name of my 1st crush in Pune After that I guess its understood what was done with that cake

Anyway, on my way back to college, my friends planned a session for wishing me. Kicks, I lost count of it. In the beginning most of the kicks were made in the air and I passed a comment -'You people have not learned to kick'. Another mistake, a costly one! A video of it has been taken. Don't worry, it is not going to be shared

After that we had our practicals. 2hrs to kill. Luckily all of our practicals got over by 1 and by 1.30 we all went out for lunch. We had to take 2 autos and I committed 2 more mistakes. I sat beside Bhaskar and Prithviraj.

Arnab and Arpit reached the restaurant by a bike and found it full. He gave my name in the queue. When we(me, Abhishek, Ayush, Prithvi, Varun, Bhaskar and Anupam) reached, we came to know that we have to wait for about 20mins. Anupam, Abhishek and Prithvi had some plans. Vending machine!

Anyway, after waiting for about 20mins, we got entry in the restaurant. The corner table and a good view(yeah...... good view). The trio trying out the vending machine joined us later and Prithvi showed me what they were up to.

We had lunch. Discussed a few things. I kept on doing the same mistake of sitting beside Bhaskar. After lunch, we went to a shopping mall(I guess for watching birds). Friends tried to gift me a shirt or T-shirt, not aware how frequently I buy clothes and how much I like buying them.

While shifting from 1 shopping mall to another, Arnab had a date. The girl came with a friend of her and Arnab with a gang of friends(we). Arnab introduced us to the girl and then asked us to leave and go with our plans. Arnab left there and we 8 went back to pavilion.

After reaching the college campus, friends gifted me a USB Pen Drive, thus making my mother angry when I returned home and said about it. In the evening, there was small party, sort of get together in my house but couldn't take much part in it as I was busy watching Manchester United in great form. Man Utd. made my day happier. Also, after all those birthday wishes from my friends, didn't have energy to do anything except lying in bed and thinking what a great day it was!

What is it to be moderator of India community?

@Amarnath, AJAY, Arun, Gaurav- You guys are very busy and lazy to write so I am going to write what is it like to be moderator of India community, my way so don't complaint if I say anything which is wrong according to you in the following paragraphs.

First of all, getting moderator privileges of India community itself is such a difficult thing. There are so many things that are looked in an individual before s/he is selected. If getting selected is difficult, moderating the community is more difficult than that.

Being a moderator of India community you have to look at so many things. You can't afford to do a single mistake. A single mistake can earn you many titles, like 'biased', 'idiot', 'dictator' and many other titles which are quite abusive in nature!

Deleting spams is so irritating, there are so many ads that you utilise 75% of time in deleting them. Rest of the time you need to go through complaints and sensitive threads. if some time is left, you can participate:P

Moderating India comunity is not a privilege but it is a challenge. one wrong step and the members will be all over you. Its human nature to make mistakes and its human nature to shout at others mistake, ignoring the mistakes you have done/are doing!

If you are a moderator, you can't lose your cool, you can't go personal with anyone even if you are literally abused. This is one of the most challenging part. The members you look after shout like anything and you still have to be cool. You can't hit them back!

Now, if you do everything right(not possible for any human) then you are sure to earn a lot of respect from the members. Hey, members also have a soft corner for the moderators, especially the girls. So, enjoy the soft corner and ignore the abuses and titles you earn!
