Minor at 18 above

The censor board certifies some films to be viewed by adults only i.e. only by people above the age of 18. The films can be porn, can be semi porn, can be violent and can be adult due to use of certain languages. Once a person is above 18, s/he is eligible to watch those films. Well.... think again! Are you allowed to watch those films by your parents. Are you sure none of your friends will criticize you or say bad about you/your character.

Few days back I was watching TV with my father. Don't remember what I was watching when suddenly promo of a film came. There was nothing in it, except some sexy comments. Father asked me what movies is this... just curious to know. I had no idea about it so I said I don't know. At the end of the promo my father said "Seems like an adult movie" suggesting I can't watch the movie:O Come on I am 19, I am eligible to watch almost any type of movie and visit any sites(except some which ask for 21).

Talking to some friends when topic of porn comes... some talk as if they are talking of something of the sort of Lord Voldermort in Harry Potter.... he who must not be name... porn... the topic which must not be discussed... the thing that must not be seen. WTF!!! S/he thyself is 18+ and think that if I watch/talk porn then I am doing some kind of sin. Fine till thinking part... they ask me not to watch or look at me as I am some ill mannered guy.

What the buck? These movies are made for watching, there is a minimum age required and as I am eligible I can watch those movies. How does watching make me a bad guy? Or how does NOT watching make a person good?
